Bruce Gibson

Over more than 30 years of practice in natural medicine - as a naturopath (ND), medical herbalist, bodyworker, and regenerative health educator - Bruce Gibson has worked with individuals and groups across Australia and internationally. His formal training encompasses wholistic naturopathy, herbal medicine, kinesiology, energetic therapies, somatic bodywork, and Polarity Therapy, alongside study in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, NLP, and somatic psychology.
Bruce has taught and lectured in natural medicine education contexts, supervised practitioners in clinical practice, and developed the Inner Ecology Repatterning framework over many years of integrated clinical work. Inner Ecology draws on wholistic naturopathy alongside established fields including neuroscience, circadian biology, somatic psychology, and polyvagal-informed practice - synthesised into a coherent, evidence-informed clinical philosophy.
In 1992, Bruce founded the Australian College of Vital Health, the organisation delivering the Inner Ecology Repatterning Practitioner Training and the Vitality Balancing Courses. Vitality Balancing is a complementary programme of somatic and energetic practices developed through the College alongside the IER framework. Bruce continues to develop new programmes through the College.
Bruce's work is situated within the tradition of Wholistic Naturopathy - a regenerative approach to health that integrates the classical naturopathic principles with contemporary neuroscience, ecology, and trauma-informed practice. The broader frame of this work is Wholistic Ecology™, which understands human health as inseparable from the health of relationships, communities, and the living world. Inner Ecology and Inner Ecology Repatterning™ are Bruce's clinical expressions of this worldview.
His work is guided by a central clinical principle: that lasting health change is most supported when the whole system - nervous system, biology, environment, and meaning - is brought into coherence together.
Qualifications & background: ND (Naturopath), advanced training in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Kinesiology and Energetic Therapies; additional study in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, NLP, and somatic bodywork. Over 30 years in clinical practice in Australia. Educator and curriculum developer in naturopathic and integrative health contexts. Founder of the Australian College of Vital Health (est. 1992).
